Akela

Akela is a Hawaiian form of the feminine name Adela or the masculine name Asher. Adela originates in Germanic languages and means "graceful and noble". Saint Adela founded the monastery in Pfazel, France. She was a celebrated 7th century Frankish princess. She died on December 24, and until today that is her feast day.
