Apollo

Apollo is an ancient Greek name whose origins are not clearly known. One version puts it as a derivative of the Doric “apella”, which means 'assembly'. The more commonly held meaning though is that of being 'manly and virile'. This comes from Apollo, the Greek god of day and night, of music, medicine as well as of manly sports.
