Beowulf

Beowulf is an Old English name that means 'bear'. It is believed that it comes from the two words 'beo' which means 'bee' and 'wulf' which means 'wolf'. It is believed that Beowulf or 'the wolf that eats honey' was the term that was used for bears in Old English.
