Bogdan

Bogdan originates in Slavic languages and means "God has rendered". The feminine form is Bogdana. Bogdan is the name of several Middle Ages rulers, as well as the name of the highest mountain in central Bulgaria. As a masculine given name it remains fairly popular until today, in the United States it is very rare. It functions as a surname as well.
