Brita

Brita is a diminutive of Birgitta, a Scandinavian variant of Bridget. Bridget originates in Irish language and means "powerful, strong". Bridget was the name of several saints, as well as a goddess in Celtic mythology. Until today, it is mainly popular in Ireland, in the United States its usage declines.
