Brock

Brock is a very old name and it is possible that it can have two ancestries. In Old English the badger was called “brocc” and the name could have been a nickname for anyone who resembled a badger. Also in Old French, “broque” or “brocke” is a stag and the name could have been a nickname for anyone who was full of life and vigour.
