Dima

Dima is a Russian diminutive of Dimitri. Dimitri is the Slavic version of the Old Greek name Demetrius. Demetrius means “a follower of Demeter” who was the Greek god of agriculture and fertility. In Ancient Greek “de” meant Earth and “meter” meant mother, so the name Demeter literally meant “Earth Mother”.
