Drayton

Drayton is derived from two Old English words - “droeg” which means “to drag” and “tun” which means "a farm", giving the meaning “a farm beside a road on which heavy goods are dragged”. The name is related to “dragan”, the term used to describe a person who does the dragging of goods.
