Elva

Elva is an anglicization of Ailbhe. Ailbhe originates in Gaelic languages and means "fair, white". This was the name of a male 6th century Irish bishop, one of the pre-Patrician saints. Today, the name can be used as both masculine and feminine, but is rather unusual.
