Ender

Ender originates in Turkish language and means "scarce". As a masculine given name it is very popular in Turkey, in the US it is rather rare. In western culture Ender was popularized by Orson Scott Card, an American writer, in his science fiction novel Ender’s Game which introduced the character of Ender Wiggin.
