Fairuza is a variant of Firuzeh. Firuzeh is a feminine form of Firuz. Firuz originates in Persian language and means "man of triumph". This was the name of a successful Muslim ruler of the Tughlaq Dynasty in the 14th century. As a feminine given name Fairuza is very rare in the United States.
