Gussie

Gussie is a diminutive of Augusta. Augusta originates in Latin language and means "exalted". It is a feminine form of Augustus. In the English-speaking countries it has not been overly popular. Augusta is the name of a town in Western Australia, as well as the name of numerous places around the United States, Canada and Europe.
