Ilya

Ilya is a Russian form Elijah. Elijah is a Hebrew name and is actually a derivative of the much older Greek name “Eliyahu” which means “My God is Yahweh”. The name is a compound of the two words “el” which means “God” or “all powerful” and “Yahweh” which is the Hebrew name for God.
