Jarmo

Jarmo is a Finnish variant of Jeremiah. Jeremiah is derived from the older Hebrew name 'Yirmeyah', itself derived from the Hebrew words 'Yahweh', which means 'God', and 'ruwm', which means 'to uplift or to lift up'. The name means 'lifted up by God'.
