Kenya

Kenya originates in African languages and is taken from the name of the country in East Africa. The name itself is derived from Mount Kenya, the highest point in Kenya and believed to be a divine mountain. As a feminine given name it has been used since the middle of the 20th century but never became overly popular in the United States.
