Kornelie is a Czech variant of Cornelia. Cornelia originates in Latin language and means "horn". It is a feminine form of Cornelius. Cornelia was the name of a martyred Christian saint, as well as Julius Caesar's first wife. As a feminine given name it has been used more frequently since the 18th century.
