Lester

Lester is an Anglo-Saxon name, derived from an old place name 'Ligora Ceaster'. In old English 'Ligore' means 'dwellers on the river Legra' and 'Ceaster' was the name of a Roman fort and was itself derived from the Latin word 'castra', which means 'a legionary camp'.
