Nahuel originates in Native American languages and means "tiger". This is the name of a type of medium tank, developed during the World War II in Argentina, inspired by the name Nahuel in the Mapuche language, spoken by the Mapuche people in Chile and Argentina. As a masculine given name it is very rare in the United States.
