Pocahontas

Pocahontas originates in Native American languages and means "the frisky one". This was the name of a legendary Virginia Indian, the daughter of Chief Powhatan, who married a white colonist. Nowadays, Pocahontas is the name of numerous places in the United States. As a feminine given name it was popularized by the 1995 Disney movie of the same name.
