Shanice

Shanice most likely originates in Hebrew language and means "God is merciful". It is a form of Janice, ultimately derived from John, originating in Hebrew. Some sources suggest, though, that it is just a combination of name elements Shan and ice, used mostly in modern English. In 1990s, Shanice was popularized by the American singer and songwriter Shanice Lorraine Wilson-Knox, known simply as Shanice.
