Stetson

Stetson is an English name and has two origins. It could be derived from the name 'Stitson', itself a derivative of 'Stot or Stott', an Old English name for a 'cattle dealer'. It could also be derived from the Anglo-Saxon word 'stytt', which means 'to knock or to strike' and could have been a nickname for a fist fighter or a boxer.
