Suellen is a combination of the names Susan and Ellen. It was popularized by Margaret Mitchell in her novel Gone with the Wind. Susan originates in Hebrew language and means "lily". It is an anglicized form of Susanna, ultimately derived from the Hebrew Shoshana.
