Tito is an Italian, Portuguese and Spanish variant of Titus. Titus originates in Latin language and means "honored". This was the name of a famous 1st century Roman emperor Titus Flavius. As a masculine given name it used to be very popular in Ancient times, nowadays its usage is rather rare in the United States.
