Venus

Venus originates in Latin language and means "love and desire". This is the name of the Roman goddess of love, beauty and fertility, equivalent of Greek Aphrodite. In Latin mythology, she had a son, Cupid, with Mars, the god of war. Over centuries, Venus has been an inspiration for many artists, including various painters and sculptors. Venus is also the second planet from the Sun. As a feminine given name, it was popularized by the American tennis player Venus Williams.
