Veronica

Veronica originates in Latin language and means "victory bearer". According to most sources, it is a Latin form of the name Berenice. Some sources, on the other hand, mention the Greek meaning "true image". Veronica was an important person in Christianity. She gave Jesus her veil so that he could wipe his forehead and when he gave it back to her, there was a true image of him on the piece of cloth. In English-speaking countries it has been used as a given name since the 19th century.
