Willa

Willa originates in Germanic languages and means "will to protect". It is most likely a feminine form of William although some sources suggest it might be a diminutive of Wilhelmina. Willa is the name of Stephen King's 2006 short story. As a feminine given name, it was popularized by the American author Willa Cather, the Pulitzer prize winner.
